We’re passionate about giving back and are proud to support a number of amazing charities and initiatives that are doing amazing work up and down the country.
Here are just some of the initiatives we currently support:
To offset our contribution to plastic waste, we donate the difference in cost between a 50% and a 100% recycled plastic bottle to this charity. Plastic Oceans UK was the first charity focused on plastics and has been the expert on the issue for a decade. This began with the award-winning documentary 'A Plastic Ocean'. Now through education, science and sustainability, they aim to stop plastic pollution reaching the ocean within a generation.
The Food Chain helps disadvantaged people suffering with HIV in London to access the nutrition they need to get well, stay well and lead healthy, independent lives. Each person that this great cause helps is referred by a health or social care worker who has identified they require nutritional support. Every person referred to the initiative receives a Personalised Nutrition Care Plan, designed specifically with them in mind to meet their exact needs. They deliver meals and groceries, offer cookery and nutrition classes and communal eating opportunities to people living with HIV in London and their dependants.
To support the vital work that The Food Chain does, we donate 5% of our annual profits to the cause, so that they can continue to help those who really need it.
Each team member at EXALT is entitled to two paid volunteering days a year to work with their chosen charity. In addition, we also have an annual team volunteering day supporting The Food Chain. This enables EXALT as a company, and our people to give back to the causes closest to their hearts.
We are delighted to be part of the Government Apprentice Scheme. We strongly believe that this scheme is one of the best ways that businesses (large or small) can help to encourage social mobility for young people from disadvantaged backgrounds. Each apprentice works with us for 12 months with the view to this becoming a permanent position at the end of the year. In line with our policy of treating people as we would like to be treated ourselves, we pay them 30% higher than the allocated Scheme wage, along with the same access to all of the benefits we offer to the rest of our team.
